Work session | 19 - 21 August 2020
The goal of the 3 day meeting is for artists to work on documenting their own instrument, performance, installation and/or other interactive project. This process is guided by Marije Baalman. Participants are invited to share their documentation and describe their process during the work session. That way the participants can build feedback and dialogue techniques that will access more in-depth insights of their work and that of others. The work session is developed in parallel with the writing of the book "Just a question of mapping".

TILT is a prominent player on the national as well as the international level when it comes to research and education in this particular area. TILT is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a year full of keynotes, workshops and events. Every month will be devoted to a different theme, such as cybercrime, e-health, privacy and climate change.

Ageing companions / Geprogrammeerde veroudering / Les cyborgs vieillissants
Work session | 17 - 23 June 2018
Geprogrammeerde veroudering is een werksessie over de verweven veroudering van lichamen en technologieën. De levensloop van mensen, dieren en machines is met elkaar verknoopt via elektronische circuits met beperkte levensduur: accessoires die bioritmes of de groei van specimens meten, interactieve medische implantaten, genetwerkte pacemakers en draadloze defibrillators zijn een alledaagse realiteit. De veroudering van biologische en technologische processen versmelt en het is niet altijd duidelijk of we met fysieke of met geprogrammeerde obsoletie te maken hebben.
I'm invited to take part in the work session and host an introductory workshop together with Anja Hertenberger and Riek Sijbring.
